Mexican Institute of Sound comes with a full live band to celebrate 20 years of music.

Mexico City-based producer Camilo Lara, aka Mexican Institute of Sound, creates irresistible beats for the global dance floor, drawing on traditional rhythms such as cumbia and cha-cha-cha as well as samples from across Latin American popular culture. M.I.S. Sound is a celebration, a tribute to the sounds that have forged a whole country. Camilo Lara's soundtrack experiment arrived and, from the first moment it was heard, it caused an impact. Songs that sounded fresh and catchy but had that aura of a Mexico that was already gone, of cities, colors, people, flavors, and dances. The magic of a project like this is that it connects with that nostalgic part we all have.

The Mexican Institute of Sound celebrates 20 years of music with a unique compilation: "Algo + Ritmo 2004-2024" takes you on a musical journey through Camilo Lara's extensive and successful career with carefully curated songs plus 2 brand new Tracks featuring two new songs with Ceci Bastida, Foudeqush and Esteman.

Camilo Lara is one of the most important figures in the Latin American music scene and has achieved enormous international recognition. His music appears in films, series (Narcos, Breaking Bad, Californication) and video games and he has worked for bands and friends such as Placebo, Beck, Gecko Turner, Beastie Boys, Perez Prado, Mazarin, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Metallica, Gershon Kingsley, Irving Fields, Sofi Tukker and Le Hammond Inferno, to name a few. His work as a producer has earned him a Grammy and eight Latin Grammy nominations.
